While conducting research and working on their book in the 1970s, a member of the research team suggested that the area should be named the “Whipple Tickle” after Dr Beverly Whipple. However, Sexologist and Professor Beverly Whipple who published about the G Spot in 1982, humbly declined it being called this as she stated she was simply continuing research started in 1950 by another person.
